All Applicants must have with them the following documents to complete an application:
- Proof of date of birth (birth certificate)
- Valid picture ID
- High School Diploma or GED
- Military Release Papers DD-214 (if applicable)
- Social Security Card
The apprenticeship standards provide that applications will be received without regards to race, color, creed, age, religion, national origin, disability, sex or sexual orientation.
All Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Age: Be at least 18 years of age. Education: Shall possess sufficient educational knowledge to satisfactorily complete the on-the-job training and related technical instruction. A high school diploma or GED is required, however an applicant may receive a high school diploma or GED within a year after being accepted into the program. Painters and Tapers are allowed up to 3 years to complete this requirement. Physical: Shall be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the Apprenticeship program without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of the individual or others.
- Drug Test: Must pass a substance abuse test at the time of acceptance.
*It is also recommended that you have a driver's license, automobile insurance and dependable transportation, as many of the jobs will be across town.
